Under the auspices of the Association of Greek and Affiliated Panhellenic Interests, Kos 2007 addressed issues in law, medicine and science in the pursuit of a just society with a wide ranging program developed in conjunction with our co-hosting colleagues in Athens.

The venue for Kos 2007 was Grecotel's magnificent Kos Imperial Thalasso on the popular Psalidi beach in Kos, a luxury hotel and a venue that was quite unforgettable. The Hotel provided excellent conference facilities, with a wide range of recreational activities in superb surrounds overlooking the magnificent Aegean on the border between Europe and Asia.

As the legendary home of Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, Kos has a long and varied history as an integral part of the Dodekanese Islands, a group of islands (including Patmos, Kalymnos and Nisyros) that have had an important and pivotal role in the Mediterranean for more than three thousand years.

Our stimulating and diverse program was prepared with assistance from Professor Andrew Alston in conjunction with our Greek organizing committee, and guidance from Justice Konstantinos Vardakavis and Dr Takis Vidalis.
