Past Events

Our events endeavour to educate participants in their field of expertise, but also to expose them to the rich Hellenic cultural past. To this end, in all our past events our delegates have enjoyed cultural tours to a wide range of archaeological sites, museums and historical locations in mainland Greece, the Aegean and Ionian Seas, Asia Minor, and the Balkans. As well, at each of our events we have organised a cultural evening where delegates have enjoyed poetry readings and orchestral and choral recitals of classical and traditional music in historically significant locations.

Greek Conference Past Events

Our most recent conference took place in Rhodes in 2011, and was a tremendous success. It followed from our previous conferences in Corfu 2009, Kos 2007, Mykonos 2005 and our inaugural conference in Crete 2004.

Medical research into thalassaemia has benefited greatly from our Conferences as our not-for-profit organization was able to donate the profits from our successful events to the Cell and Gene Therapy Unit of the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute. Over the last ten years, by supporting us and the various events, delegates have been able to help researchers gain a better understanding which could lead possible to cures for this disease.
